Before contacting a Septic, Sewer, or Plumbing company check out this list of helpful questions to ask below:



1- Is your company locally owned?
2- Does your company subcontract any of the work and if so what is the name of the company who will be working on my property?
3- What exactly does your service and pricing include?
4- If my tank is larger than 1,000 gallons, is there an additional charge for pumping and disposal?
5- Will your technicians remove all of the black sludge from the bottom of my tank? If the answer is no, then ask why! (We'll give you a little hint – if anyone tells you the good bacteria needs to be left in the bottom of your tank - be very cautious!
6- Will I be charged additional fees if the solid/sludge accumulation is over any particular amount?
7- If additional hose is required is there an additional fee?   
8- Does your company charge to dig up my septic tank lid(s) to access the tank?
9- How many lids can I expect your company to dig up and open up on my septic tank?
10- Will I be charged additional fees if my septic tank lids are larger than 20”x20”?
11- How many chambers/compartments will your company empty out of my tank?
12- Is there an additional fee to dig up and pump out the 2nd chamber/compartment of my tank?
13- If my main sewer line is clogged will I be charged an additional fee if it needs to be cleared?
14- Will I be charged with an environmental/energy fee?
15- Will I be charged with a fuel surcharge fee?
16- Will I be charged with anything additional for disposal?
17- Will I be charged with a dispatching fee?
18- Does your company take care of notifying NC 811 to mark my underground utility lines if digging will take place on my property during the service?
19- Will your technicians clean up after themselves before leaving my property?

20- Can your company provide references for larger projects?
